Application
The Thermo Scientific Haake Viscotester C, D and E are used for standard conform tests in quality control.

Measurement principle & Compatibility
The Haake Viscotester C, D and E are classic rotational viscometers in which the resistance of a test substance is measured against a specified speed. The resulting torque is a measure of the liquid's viscosity. Due to the geometry of the spindles used, the shear rates occurring can only be determined accurately for Newtonian substances.

The basic standard ISO 2555 describes a viscosity measuring instrument in its design and its technical measurement characterization (torque, speed, rotating body geometry). If a rotational viscometer meets these requirements (such as the Haake Viscotester C, D and E), it corresponds to the so-called Brookfield method and is 100 % compatible.
